This is where you go for the best pizza in Savannah. It’s a laid-back, family-run pizzeria that also serves pasta and gourmet pizzas. Vincenzo’s Pizzeria, located in the city’s southern area, caters to families and offers delicious pizza. Located at the crossroads of Windsor and White Bluff Roads. All pizzas at Vincenzo’s are made from scratch, from hand-tossing to baking. The proprietors boast that they utilize only the finest and freshest ingredients in their pizzas, and the food certainly lives up to their claims.
New York-style pizza in the south? You’ve found it. As well as hoagies, they have a wide selection of pasta meals, salads, and buffalo wings. Have a wedding, party, or office meeting? Any occasion, big or small, they’ll cater in fine style. They have gluten-free pizza options, plus the calzone or Stromboli is to die for. 2. Big Bon Bodega/Big Bon Pizza
- Address: 2011 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31401
- Phone: (912) 349-4847
You’re in luck if you’re a pizza fanatic and you happen to call Savannah home or come for a visit. Big Bon Bodega is a specialty pizza and wood-fired bagel shop. The Big Bon family’s humble beginnings can be traced back to a truck and a dream, albeit one that was outfitted with a massive wood-fired pizza oven. The majority of town residents have eaten Big Bon Pizza’s pies wherever the truck happened to be parked. Now they’ve opened a brick-and-mortar location so we can sit inside and savor the amazing bagel sandwiches or specialty pizzas like the vodka sauce pizza.
While the Big Bon original will always be great, I think the Bodega house Margherita does it for me. If you’d like to try the bagel sandwiches, I recommend the pimento pig that will make you groan. Don’t rush and ask for guidance as they will happily assist. You’ll be tasting craftsmanship at its best from one of the best pizza places in Savannah. The location is spacious and family-friendly.

3. Pizzeria Vittoria Napoletana
- Address: 2411 De Soto Ave, Savannah, GA 31401
- Phone: (912) 417-3002
Pizzeria Vittoria, a Neapolitan-style pizzeria run by chef/owner Kyle Jacovino and located in Savannah’s trendy Starland neighborhood’s Starland Yard complex, is known for its authentic, yeast-free pizza (Five & Ten and The Florence). Jacovino, a chef with nearly two decades of experience, draws on his Italian-American background to create regionally inspired pizzas at Vittoria that reflect his dedication to the Slow Food Movement. Jacovino’s famous dough ferments for up to 48 hours before being baked in a hand-made brick oven by Neapolitan Giovanni Acunto.
It’s made with locally sourced grains supplied from neighboring millers like Lindley and Anson Mills to a temperature from 800° to 825° for 1½ minutes. Starland Yard’s centerpiece, Vittoria, is the sole permanent structure in what was originally envisioned as a food truck park. The restaurant, built from a shipping container, serves as a practical canvas for Jacovino’s ability and workmanship and reflects the inventive spirit of the neighborhood. A neighboring terrace, when functional, encourages visitors to linger over slices of pie and sips of wine or beer.

4. Papa Murphy’s | Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza
- Address: 830 E Derenne Ave, Savannah, GA 31405
- Phone: (912) 201-3021
Customers can either stroll in, place an order over the phone, or do it online. Picking up phone orders is as easy as driving up to a drive-thru window at some locations. The pizzas are prepared at the store but taken home to be baked to maintain the take-and-bake concept. Pizzas are not delivered to consumers’ homes but are baked by them instead. When you order pizza here, keep in mind that this is not just another pizza chain but a multi-award-winning pizza company. Everything tastes great even though we bake it at home.
That’s because they place a lot of effort into selecting the ideal ingredients suitable for home baking. Take-and-bake pizzerias, as reported by Nation’s Restaurant News, tend to have cheaper overhead due to the reduced need for both a restaurant’s physical location and its kitchen equipment. This allows them to frequently offer lower prices than the major national pizza chains. Salads, sweets, and soft beverages come in multiple quantities at Papa Murphy’s. Now we know why this is one of the best pizza places in Savannah.

At this pizzeria, the dough is made from scratch each night as we slumber. You can always tell by the freshness whenever you order there. It’s like they just made the ingredients. Their thick sauce and freshly grated Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Bicycles are used for Vinnie’s pizza delivery service in the downtown area. Locals and visitors alike go to Vinnie Van Go-in Go’s City Market because it is widely regarded as Savannah’s best pizza restaurant.

Screamin’ Mimi’s is the spot to go if you’re craving pizza with a thin crust and lots of tasty toppings. You can stop for lunch at this Jersey-style pizza plus sub store, which is nestled in one of the historical town’s few business centers. The pizza, which is considered by many to be the best in town, is available both whole and sliced. The white pizza with tomato and basil is a best-seller. 8. Riverboat Pizza Company
- Address: 5975 Ogeechee Rd #1200, Savannah, GA 31419
- Phone: (912) 777-6788
I have to go there anytime I visit Savannah for a few days. Easygoing, family-owned locale featuring specialty pies & a wide choice of beer, plus patio seating. They serve pizza done right in every facet, making it one of the best pizza places in Savannah. The best way to widen your options is to order an 18-inch split. Therefore, you can enjoy two amazing types of pizza in one go! Try the Farmer’s Market and Pesto Manifesto or Riverboat Roys (my favorite) and the Gamblers.
This pizzeria is recommended for the delicious Italian cuisine they serve, from pizza to salad, calzones, and finger-licking dessert. Riverboat Pizza Company serves up some flawlessly cooked pepperoni, pies, and spinach salads. Try some delectable oreo cheesecake while you’re at it. I recommend their flavorful craft, and draft beer, as well as wine. There’s spacious seating outdoors.

9. Midtown Pizza
- Address: 4827 Waters Ave, Savannah, GA 31404
- Phone: (912) 777-5816
Let me kick off this review by lauding Midtown plaza for its tasty pepperoni and sausages. I need not mention the crust because that will take a day. Their pizza is amazing and among the best pizza in Savannah. They are not mean when it comes to cheese and toppings, so kids and adults alike are always pleased. Their signature meatball pizza is otherworldly! For lunch breaks, the menu options are always affordable, so check out their lunch specialty pizzas.
The pizza style here means a thin, savory crust topped with fresh, perfectly melted mozzarella. The restaurant itself is pleasant and well-kept, and the service is friendly and helpful. It would serve you well to go out and get a pie or two. Both the pizza and the garlic knots were fantastic. I was unable to finish everything all, but reheating the leftovers at home was equally as satisfying as eating there. There is always a guarantee of some delicious pizza here. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the quality of service.

10. Your Pie Pizza
- Address: 7360 Skidaway Rd, Savannah, GA 31406
- Phone: (912) 692-1123
Superbly delicious, and the service is second to none. Even though we arrived shortly before they closed, they still provided us with excellent service. We had a pepperoni and pineapple pizza, a kids’ pizza, and the best of the three, the Nat. It was money well spent. Get as many condiments as you like for a low price. The staff was warm and welcoming. This was our first trip to Savannah, but this restaurant will be on our list of must-eats the next time we visit. The Caprese salad was also excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I could make it exactly how I liked it. On the day of pi, we had a great time here.
Intent on avoiding the wait? You may now order and pay for your pizza online via the Your Pie app. When you order pizza through the app, you’ll be entered into a rewards program and notified of special offers and events. 15. Squirrel’s Pizza
- Address: 2218 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31401
- Phone: (912) 335-7873
Nestled in the quirky Starland District, Squirrel’s is an exquisitely informal pizzeria offering more crispy, wood-fired varieties of pies with disdain for old methods. You could view their baking style as a mix between Roman and Neapolitan that could be termed a hybrid between Neapolitan and Roman. To reduce the puffy crust, they put the garnishes on the edge (al Bordo). They aim for a balance between the traditional Neapolitan coupling of dough and sauce and the signature crunchiness of Tonda and Roman pizza. In addition to a longer cooking time and reduced oven temperature, the crispier crust is achieved by using less water in the dough.
Start with Baked Chèvre served with ciabatta topped with tangy goat cheese, wood-fired in authentic Bianco DiNapoli tomato sauce. A Red Pizza with Nueske’s applewood smoked bacon and grilled pineapple will make your day. The talented chef Chris, incorporates the spirit of modern Italy into his take on “partially-swanky street food” by drawing inspiration from his varied background and travels. I love the ambiance here and the use of Parisian and Scandinavian elements plus minimalist furnishings.
